Affordability
At the University of Richmond, we promise something unique—-an outstanding education at one of the nation's best liberal arts universities coupled with truly comprehensive financial resources to make it affordable.
Undergraduate Students
Consider these facts about incoming undergraduates:
- Richmond gave more than $42.2 million in financial aid this year to a student body consisting of approximately 3,000 undergraduates.
- Our Richmond Scholars program awards a full-tuition, merit scholarship to approximately 1 out of every 15 incoming first-year students.
- Our Presidential Scholarship awards up to $15,000 per year for four years to students with superior high school records and standardized test scores.
- Through our Richmond In Reach program, the average “need-based” aid package awarded to entering students in fall 2007 was $32,210.
- Additional programs for Virginians further enable students to attend one of the nation's best liberal arts universities and still stay close to home.
Beyond simply providing some of the best financial aid resources anywhere, we also promise to make the process as clear and as easy as possible. At Richmond, you will receive real guidance from real people in a timely manner.
International, Graduate & Continuing Education Students
Financial aid programs also are available for international students, as well as students in graduate programs (arts & sciences and business), law and continuing studies.
